    The MR200 surface roughness tester is a new upgrade instrument which adopts the newest processor. This instrument adopts 2.7 inch OLED display, combines accurate measurement, exquisite design, fast process rate and complete protection in one host. It is highly favored by users since it was produced, it has large measurement range, superior than other similar products and can meet different needs of users. By connecting with Micro-USB port, Bluetooth, SD card, it can do wireless remote control, measurement, print and communicate with PC and store massive data. It has been widely used in the quality control process of various precision metals, plays an important and necessary role in rising production qualification rate and saving cost.

    Working Principle

    This instrument adopts needle scanning method to test the surface roughness of the work piece.

    When measuring roughness of part surface, the probe is placed on the surface of the part and then tracing the surface at constant rate. The probe acquires the surface roughness by the sharp stylus in probe. The roughness causes displacement of probe which results in change of inductive value of induction coils thus generate analogue signal which is in proportion to surface roughness at output end of phase-sensitive rectifier. This signal enters data collection system after amplification and level conversion. After that, those collected data are processed with digital filtering and parameter calculation by ARM chip and the measuring result can be read on OLED display. The results can be printed by Bluetooth printer.

    Operating Method and Attentions

    operation instruction,

    Plugging the probe carefully into the instrument, install it on the connecting part of the pillar;

    Using the curved surface probe, we should try to use a shorter range, such as 0.25um

     sampling length especially when the arc is small;

    Raise the slide adjustment rack of pillar slightly above the work piece surface, fall the probe till

    contact with the work-piece. In the process, you should be careful especially when the probe is about to touch the work-piece;

    Make the probe stylus point at the surface peak (or lowest point);

    Adjust the body of the probe to the visual level state, observe whether the stylus position is

     near the center;

    Before measurement, move the work-piece to the right half of the measuring range, press start

    Instrument Maintenance

    When the instrument shows abnormal phenomenon, such as no measurements, the liquid crystal abnormal display, larger error, the keyboard operation failure or malfunction confusion, please refer to the troubleshooting index table, exclude common failure. Please do not disassemble or adjust any fixed assembly parts, you should entrust to the company's after-sales service department for maintenance and disposal.

  • Standard probe
    The standard sensor of Mitech portable surface roughness tester MR200,  length: 80.5mm, main body length: 46mm, guide-head bearer length: 23mm, main body diameter of Φ10mm, core-insert sleeve diameter of Φ7mm, guide-head height of 8.7mm, it is the standard configuration of the surface roughness tester. The standard sensor can meet the surface roughness measurement for most conventional surfaces like plane, inclined plane, cone, inner hold and grooves, easy for hand-held operation. Except this standard sensor, all other special sensors need to use with measuring platform. 
    Remote control
    The remote control of Mitech portable surface roughness tester MR200, it is the configuration of the instrument, used for remote control the surface roughness tester. The remote control measurement can reduce the error caused by manual operation. Its measurement is more accurate. 
    Straight screwdriver
    The special screwdriver is the special tool in the standard configuration for Mitech portable surface roughness tester MR200. When working with the height gauge pillar for measurement, it can make the instrument installed closer on the height gauge pillar to ensure the measurement stable by adjusting the nut with the screwdriver. 
    Calibration sample
    The calibration sample of Mitech portable surface roughness tester, it is the standard configuration of the instrument, used to calibration the value of the instrument, the standard roughness calibration area in the middle of the sample. When using the calibration sample for calibration, if the really measuring value beyond ±10%  of the nominal of sample or the having higher requirement for the measuring accuracy, it needs to use the value calibration function according to the percentage of the actual deviation. the calibration range should not larger than ±20%. Under the normal situation, the instrument should be tested strictly before leaving manufacturer, the value error is less than ±10%,it is recommended for users not frequency use the value calibration function. If the calibration value is set to “00”, the instrument would be back to the factory reset. The sample surface should keep clean to avoid scratching the working area surface of the sample. Scratching or wearing of the sample will mislead the value calibration. 
    Sample pad

This accessory is only limited to the surface roughness measurement of the small size step with the height of about 28mm. If the workpiece with complex shape and high height, it needs to use the height gauge pillar or measuring platform to complete the measurement.
